		<abstract>In this work, a morphological representation for template matching in grayscale image is presented. This representation is obtained through the composition of a template matching operator with the operator for global maximum gray-level Localization, which can be expressed in terms of the following classes of Mathematical Morphology elementary operators: dilations, erosions and anti-dilations. Based on this representation a method for matching in grayscale images is proposed and implemented on the Khoros system. Finally, some experiments using this method are presented for digital images (TM/Landsat and aerial photography).</abstract>
