As a natural part of its activities, INPE has been operating in-house developed satellites since 1993. INPE Satellite Tracking and Control Center is constituted by a pair of telemetry, tracking and commanding ground stations for performing real-time activities, and a satellite control center for planning and coordination of those activities.
