Microwave plasma CVD reactor was used to produce quite pure carbon nanotubes. Fibroblast L929 mouse cells were used. MTT assay was used for the study of cell viability. The results show very high cell viability, close to 100% after 96 h of incubation. Cell adhesion was observed by scanning electron microscopy, which shows a first cell layer spreading flat on the surface formed by the nanotube tips. This first layer seems to block cell interaction with the nanotubes since next layers present normal globular growth. %N 2 %T Cell viability and adhesion on as grown multi-wall carbon nanotube films %@secondarytype PRE PI %K Cell viability, Cell adhesion, MWCNT, CVD. %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup banon %@usergroup simone %@group LAS-CTE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAS-CTE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group %@group LAS-CTE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAS-CTE-INPE-MCT-BR %3 cell viability.pdf %@secondarykey INPE--PRE/ %@issn 0928-4931 %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/12.06.16.34.42 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Laboratório de Dinâmica de Compartimentos Celulares, Instituto de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento, Universidade do Vale do Paraíba (UNIVAP) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %B Materials Science and Engineering C %@versiontype publisher %P 264-269 %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/12.06.16.34 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2008 %V 28 %A Lobo, Anderson de Oliveira, %A Antunes, Érica Freire, %A Machado, A.
