This is Phase-1 of the proposed Brazilian Decimetre Array (BDA) and can be operated at any frequency in the range 1.2¨C1.7 GHz. The instrument is functional since November 2004 onwards at 1.6 GHz. The angular and temporal resolution at the above frequency range are 3¡ä and 100 ms, respectively. We present here the initial solar observations carried out with this array. %N 9 %T Brazilian Decimetre Array (Phase-1): Initial solar observations %@secondarytype PRE PI %K Radio interferometer, Decimeter frequency range, Solar observations. %@visibility shown %@group %@group DAS-INPE-MCT-BR %@group DAS-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAC-INPE-MCT-BR %@group DAS-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE-14983-PRE/9895 %@copyholder SID/SCD %@issn 0273-1177 %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/11.26.17.59.25 %@affiliation Indian Institute of Astrophysics %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Indian Institute of Astrophysics %@affiliation Indian Institute of Astrophysics %B Advances in Space Research %P 1451-1453 %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/11.26.17.59 %D 2007 %V 39 %A Ramesh, R., %A Sawant, Hanumant Shankar, %A Cecatto, Jos¨¦ Roberto, %A Faria, Cl¨¢udio, %A Fernandes, Francisco Carlos Rocha, %A Kathiravan, C., %A Suryanarayana, G.
