We apply this technique aiming at an effort reduction in both time and cost on the process of validation and integration of the X-ray imager software embedded in the MIRAX satellite mission payload. Once the scientific goals of the payload instrument are well defined by the mission principal investigators, the operation profiles help engineers and software designers to identify the payload development resources and testing workbench to guarantee that the instrument and its operation meet the scientific requirements. One benefit is to reuse some test facilities designed to support the incremental development of the payload instrument functionalities on further satellite mission operations. Another benefit is the system growth in reliability, since testing driven by operational profiles helps to anticipate failure identifications. %E D'Amico, Flavio, %E Braga, João, %E Rothschild, Richard E., %T Payload software validation and integration %S AIP Conference Proceedings %@secondarytype PRE LI %K Software engineering, Testing facilities, Operational profile, Satellite payload software. %B The transient milky way: a perspective for Mirax %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup simone %@group DSS-INPE-MCT-BR %C Melville, New York %@secondarykey INPE--/ %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/01.04.17.23.07 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %I AIP %P 132-136 %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m17@80/2007/01.04.17.23 %D 2006 %@documentstage not transferred %A Mattiello-Francisco, Maria de Fátima, %@dissemination NTRSNASA; BNDEPOSITOLEGAL. %@area ETES
