A Rijke type oscillator with an electrical heater was used to dry batches of soybean grains. Drying temperatures were 60 degreesC. We observed a decrease on the drying time for pulsating flows when compared with the conventional non-pulsating regime. This decrease depended on sample initial moisture content and weight, and on final sample moisture content. %8 Apr. %N 3 %T Investigation of food grain drying with pulsating air flows. %K combustion, grains (food), oscillators, rijke-tube. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@group LCP-INPE-MCT-BR %@copyholder SID/SCD %@secondarykey INPE-11213-PRE/6662 %2 lcp.inpe.br/ignes/2004/07.27.10.00.48 %@affiliation Faculdade de Engenharia de Guaratinguetá, Universidade Estadual Paulista., %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais. %B International Communications in Heat and Mass Tranfer %@language English %P 387-395 %4 lcp.inpe.br/ignes/2004/07.27.10.00 %D 2004 %V 31 %A Dias, S.
